To recognise and acknowledge all the outstanding volunteers who contribute to our program, we have a number of awards and contests which we hold at the local and national levels. All our winners are announced in our monthly e-newsletters.

Volunteers of the Month
Each month, two volunteers are nominated who have done exceptional work that month.

Annual nominations for volunteers who have done outstanding work throughout the year.

Leadership Recognition Reception
Annual nominations for volunteers who have demonstrated exceptional leadership are invited for the UBC Student Leadership Reception by the UBC President.

National Volunteer Awards

CIHR Synapse Award
Volunteers who have conducted innovative, health research-related activity. Volunteers are nominated by site coordinators to advance to the national competition. One winner is selected nationally.

National Volunteer of the Year
Volunteers who have made a significant contribution to local Let's Talk Science programs are nominated by site coordinators to advance to the national competition. One winner is selected nationally.
